20rds – 223 Rem Federal Gold Medal CenterStrike 77gr. OTM Ammo
Federal Ammunition 77 Grain Open Tip Match Ammo Details
Accountants. Olympic gymnasts. Heart surgeons. Precision matters to all of these people – but none more than you. You are a consummate marksman, who groups shots closer together than the freckles on a flea’s patoot.A marksman such as yourself can’t do his (or her, if you are actually a markswoman) best work with regular range loads. Your standards can only be met by match-grade ammunition.
This is Federal Premium’s match-grade 223 Rem ammunition. Every Gold Medal cartridge must satisfy the old Minnesotan manufacturer’s highest standards for consistency if it’s to wind up inside this box of twenty. It must also be loaded with a 77 grain CenterStrike open tip match. Novice shooters mistake it for a hunting bullet, believing its nose cavity to be one that initiates expansion. You know the OTM to be a non-expanding yet otherwise exceptionally balanced and aerodynamic bullet. And you are extremely correct, because this round’s OTM pushes G1 ballistic coefficiency all the way up to 0.356.
What does that mean? It means the CenterStrike OTM vanquishes frontal air resistance, overcomes wind deflection, and doesn’t succumb to transonic destabilization until around 840 yards.
