Federal Ammunition 55 Grain Nosler Ballistic Tip Ammo Details

This 223 Rem cartridge by Federal features Nosler’s 55 grain Ballistic Tip projectile. The Ballistic Tip has a color coded polymer tip which serves several functions that improve its performance: initiation of expansion upon impact, resistance to deformation in the magazine, and enhancement of ballistic coefficient. This bullet’s heavy jacketed base not only prevents deformation while firing, but also acts as a platform upon which wide expansion can occur. This bullet further features a jacket that is fully tapered to its lead alloy core, so it can retain the great majority of its weight as it penetrates a soft target.

Federal’s Law Enforcement Tactical Rifle Urban line of ammunition is a perfect choice for self-defense. Engineered to military specifications, this round offers a low flash propellant so you can remain effective after firing your first shot in dim environments. Its brass casing is created thicker so that it can withstand higher chamber pressures, and its primer is crimped to prevent it from backing out in a perilous situation.

I bought these rounds for varmint shooting and they are truly the best round I have ever fired through my LWRC. When they say ballistic tip they are not kidding and at 100 yards I am getting sub moa accuracy out of these rounds
