20rds – 222 Rem Hornady Superformance Varmint 50gr. V-MAX Ammo Details

No matter which field or forest you venture through, give the varmints no quarter with the work of this 222 Rem cartridge from Hornady’s Superformance line of ammunition. Its propellant is formulated to increase its muzzle velocity by up to 200 fps, but without bringing about unwanted added recoil, muzzle blast, or fouling. With such a flat trajectory and improved resistance to wind drift even the smallest target will be firmly within your reach.

This round’s 50 grain V-MAX projectile features a polymer tip seated atop the mouth of its jacket and extending into a cavity formed within its swaged lead core. Upon impact the tip builds up tremendous energy before commencing violent fragmentation of jacket and core alike, enabling it to all but aerosolize its target. The V-MAX itself is extremely accurate thanks to its sharp meplat, aerodynamic profile, and concentric jacket. Along with Hornady’s select brass casing and sensitive primer, this round is a veritable varmint buster through and through.
