Child’s play for the ELD-X’s boat tail, secant ogive profile, and Heat Shield tip – a high-tech polymer spike which maintains its sleek tip in the face of brutal aerodynamic friction.

The ELD-X is protected against core/jacket separation by the InterLock ring which binds the two components firmly together. Even high-velocity impact can’t remove more than half of the ELD-X’s weight! And because the bullet couples deep penetration with reliable expansion, there’s no medium or small game it can’t quickly put down.

Hornady took this round’s 3,285 fps muzzle velocity and 0.485 G1 BC with a 24” test barrel. They recommend a minimum barrel twist of 1:8”.
