This 17 Fireball cartridge by Remington features a 20 grain AccuTip-V projectile. The AccuTip-V’s tip may look like it’s made of some metal, but it’s really gold colored polymer. Upon impact that tip drives backward into its soft lead core, causing it along with its thin jacket to fragment violently within a soft target. It’s not only its terminal performance that makes this round’s bullet a veritable varmint buster -- it’s incredibly accurate as well, enabling it to reliably arrive at such a small target in order to thoroughly ruin the rest of its day.

Remington designed the 17 Fireball in 2007 to use less powder than the 17 Rem so that it could produce substantially lesser heat and fouling. Its light recoil, low report, and extreme velocity make it a great varmint hunting round. This centerfire cartridge further features a sensitive primer, clean burning propellant, and uniform brass casing that feeds and ejects with ease.
