That’s because you’ve just discovered Hornady’s top-of-the-line Match series 6mm ARC ammunition – the best of the best for placing narrow groups through distant bullseyes!This cartridge is loaded with the Extremely Low Drag (ELD) Match. The 108 grain projectile is decked out with Horandy’s insanely concentric Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket, which surrounds a similarly gyroscopically stable solid lead core. And between its sloping boat tail, secant ogive profile and deformation-proof Heat Shield polymer tip, the ELD Match does everything in a bullet’s power to minimize drag to the greatest extent possible.
Hornady recorded this round’s 2,750 fps muzzle velocity and 0.270 G1 (0.536 G1) ballistic coefficient with a 24” 1:8” twist test barrel. In practical terms, that means the bullet’s 300-yard trajectory should reach a peak elevation of 5.6” (with 1.5” high sights).
