200rds – 6.5 Creedmoor Sellier & Bellot 142gr. HPBT Ammo

Sellier & Bellot Ammunition 142 Grain Hollow-Point Boat Tail (HP-BT) Ammo Details

A lot of folks have made their 6.5 Creedmoor rifle their go-to for deer hunting. You might even be one of them – but that doesn’t mean you don’t enjoy using the round as the long-range target shooting solution it was originally conceived as. That’s why you’ll love what Sellier & Bellot cooked up for you all the way over at their headquarters in the Czech Republic, where they have been continually operational since 1825.

This cartridge’s hollow point boat tail is not what you want for deer hunting. Sure, it supplies all the accuracy you would need to knock a buck down, but it's just not able to follow up impact with terminal expansion. The 142 grain projectile only has a nose cavity because molten lead was injected into its solid brass jacket to form a voidless, uniform core. That keeps the bullet balanced while its narrow meplat, streamlined jacket and boat tail all work to minimize drag. Once the HPBT clears a 23.5” barrel’s muzzle at a rate of 2,444 fps, you can expect its 0.553 G1 ballistic coefficient to keep its trajectory impressively flat. You can count on that trajectory to rise by a mere 22” if you zero in at 500 yards!

Premium virgin brass cases and sensitive noncorrosive Boxer primers make this ammo just as reliable as it is suitable for handloading projects. Sellier & Bellot packages this ammunition in cases of 500; we bundled it into kits of 200 for greater affordability.
