The Hybrid Hunter combines the best features of two different profile shapes: tangent ogive, which creates a smooth juncture with the bearing surface to facilitate optimal alignment with the rifling; and secant ogive, which minimizes frontal air resistance to promote greater velocity retention and a resultant flatter trajectory.

The Hybrid Hunter’s list of tricks hardly end there. This is a bullet with a low-drag boat tail, intensely concentric J4 Hunting Jacket, evenly distributed lead core, and smooth cannelure-free profile. Its 0.303 G7 (0.584 G1) ballistic coefficient means that the bullet’s velocity should remain at least 1,800 fps until approximately 696 yards. If the Hybrid Hunter strikes within that range, it undergoes terminal expansion to produce a wound cavity capable of crippling the quarry right where it stands.
