Armscor is Southeast Asia’s largest ammunition manufacturer. It can roll out over half a billion rounds each year.

Not all of that ammo-making is going on in the Philippines, though. Armscor also has a production facility in Montana, which occasionally seats sleek and deadly 143 grain Hornady Extremely Low Drag - eXpanding (ELD-X) projectiles into freshly minted 6.5 Creedmoor brass cases.

This is that ammunition. It gives you the ELD-X’s match accuracy, as supplied by its boat tail, secant ogive Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket, and Heat Shield polymer tip with Drag Variability Reduction Technology meplat. They blend together to form a 0.315 G7 BC hunting bullet that can take over 1,000 ft lbs of energy to any point within 575 yards.

High-velocity impact isn’t an insurmountable hurdle to the ELD-X. Its core and thick jacket shank are rooted together by the latter’s InterLock ring, so it’s reasonable to expect ~55% weight retention inside 400 yards, or ~88% weight retention outside. Regardless of range, the ELD-X punctuates its flat trajectory with massive terminal expansion – real deer-stopping performance, wherever you want it.
