This is supersonic ammo: 125 grain projectile, with a muzzle velocity that is over 1,000 fps faster than the speed of sound. This is not hunting ammo, though. Its open tip bullet won’t expand or undergo significant fragmentation should it enter soft tissue. The open tip is built solely for accuracy. It has a flat, jacketed base. It has a thin-walled jacket with an aerodynamic profile. It has a form-fitted lead core, which gives the bullet the gyroscopic stability it needs to attain a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.161. Center up 1.5” and aim to 200 yards; drop at 300 will be in the ballpark of -24.9”. Not the flattest trajectory in the history of trajectories, but this is the 300 BO we’re talking about here!
