Bust out your 10mm lever-action rifle – the one you use for hunting. We have something special in store, just for it. It’s Hornady LEVERevolution, and it modernizes conventional lever gun ammo through the power of the Flex Tip!

If you pulled out the Flex Tip eXpanding (FTX) projectile’s signature feature, you’d be left with a jacketed hollow point. The bullet works better if you leave it intact, however, because that way it presents a more ballistically efficient meplat downrange than any JHP ever has. It’s not a spitzer bullet, although its frontal profile works similarly: reduce frontal drag, flatten trajectory, and amplify force of impact.

The FTX’s Flex Tip performs another function after impact. It is soft (hence its safety inside a lever gun’s magazine), and therefore smooshes down to force wider and more kinetic terminal expansion. The FTX is tough for a pistol bullet as well, as its InterLock ring tightly unites its jacket and lead core.
