The 8mm Mauser was Yugoslavia’s infantry cartridge, and the socialist republic made a lot of it before it went belly up in 1992. That’s why so much of it survives to this day -- and a lot of it survives in our warehouse. This M49 round is an economical way to train and shoot targets with your 8mm Mauser rifle!

This round’s 198 grain full metal jacket bullet won’t do anything fancy inside of its target, but the accurate thing is certain to make its way there reliably. This round’s Berdan primer is corrosive, so a thorough cleaning is in order after your range session, and its sealant protects it against the elements. No steel here -- a brand new brass shell casing will chamber and extract like a charm!


We have loaded 37 boxes of these mil-surp rounds into a gently used surplus ammo can. The can may sport a few light scratches and other indications that it has been used here and there, but for the most part it’s in exemplary condition. Ideal if you intend to let this ammo age for a spell before cracking it open!
