Why Shooters and Hunters love or hate 150rds – 9mm Winchester USA Forged 115gr. FMJ Ammo

My husband and I shot 200 lasgg to weekend. It seems we had a magazine hangup somehow on one which could have been user error. These rounds are about what you can expect in the multitude of selections. I would probably get some more later on if the price holds out.

I bought two 50-rnd boxes of Win USA Forged 9mm 115 gr of the same lot #. Shot (or at least tried to shoot) the 1st box through my H&K USP9 in Aug 2023. 20 of 50 rounds were failures to extract the casings. When measuring most of the empty casings in Sep 2023, most were actually SAAMI sub-spec, especially rim diameters.
My USP9 has run 100's of brass cased (factory ammo and handloads) and steel cased (Russian Barnaul, lacquered) with not a single issue.
First time ever having such disappointment in a Winchester product. I simply just gave the 2nd 50-rnd box away. -

I bought three boxes of this ammo when there was no 9mm to be found. TERRIBLE! I had between 35-50 failure to ejects per 150. I spent more time clearing the jams than actually shooting. This was with a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield, that has gone through over 3000 rounds of other ammo with no issues.

This was the only ammunition I have used that choked both a 9mm AUG and a 910 S&W, which I thought would digest anything. Steel case? No thanks, and apparently the US made variety is no better than the Russian version.

Ran 300 rounds through my G43 with no issues. Hands get very dirty re-loading mags from the steel casings the only down side.
