12 - U.S. MIL-SPEC Menu A Meals, Ready-to-Eat (MREs) Details
Napoleon Bonaparte once said “an army marches on its stomach.” You don’t have to be a brilliant tactician – or even in the military – to agree with that sentiment. Eating is important. Sage advice from Napoleon and your friends at Ammo To Go.Hunting. Camping. Survival. There are many scenarios in which you can’t break out the hibachi and A5 Japanese Wagyu. When any of them arrive, you’ll be glad you ordered one dozen MIL-SPEC Meals, Ready-to-Eat (MREs) ahead of time.
This case is “Menu A,” which means entrees may include any of the following (noting that military contractors are permitted make substitutions when packaging cases of MREs): beef shredded in barbecue sauce • beef stew • beef strips in tomato sauce • beef taco filling • cheese pizza slice • chicken chunks • chicken w/egg noodles and vegetables • chili macaroni • chili w/beans* • elbow macaroni in tomato sauce • meatballs in marinara sauce • spaghetti with beef and sauce.
These MREs are packed in a cardboard box with a Fresh-Check indicator. Each one includes its own flameless heater. Just pour some water in there and wait. Soon you’ll be dining like an aristocrat.
