This cartridge is loaded with a hollow point boat tail match projectile – 168 grains, at which weight it reliably clears a 24” barrel’s muzzle at a velocity of 2,650 fps. The projectile’s slender tip sports a narrow opening, which molten lead was poured through to create the HPBT’s form-fitted lead core. In addition to its concentric jacket, the HPBT’s core is devoid of flaws that could have harmed rotational stability, and its weight is rearward-situated to promote even better balance. The HPBT’s base is also fully jacketed, thus preventing any part of the core from getting aerosolized and becoming uneven during ignition.
