Federal Ammunition 53 Grain V-MAX Ammo Details

Are you looking for proper 223 Rem ammo for bagging coyote or anything smaller than coyote? Then we applaud your ability to look, because you’ve looked in exactly the right place. We’ve got the big boxes of Federal Varmint & Predator in stock!

This cartridge’s bullet is the ever-popular Hornady V-MAX. The bullet’s polymer tip helps it cut a clean path through the air. Its Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket and swaged lead core ensure that it stays balanced. Once the 53 grain V-MAX clears the barrel at a hot velocity of 3,400 fps, its 0.290 G1 ballistic coefficient will keep it cooking along a flat trajectory way, way far downrange. The V-MAX will still deliver terminal expansion and fragmentation at ranges up to 613 yards, and its velocity will stay supersonic until almost 1,000 yards.

The V-MAX is designed to behave like a tiny hand grenade as soon as it bursts through thin hide. Its polymer tip has a long tail that reaches deep down into a precision formed hollow within the swaged lead core. The tip builds up lots of energy until it finally connects with the core, at which instant it forces the entire bullet to burst apart. Don’t show us the kind of varmint that can walk away from an encounter with a high-velocity V-MAX!

Federal provides each V-MAX in this box of 100 with the premium components it needs to do its best work. Brass-cased and reloadable with any kind of bullet you please!
