CCI of Idaho often offers special edition versions of their usual great products that feature a gun world celebrity, including Steven Rinella of MeatEater and Troy Landry of Swamp People. CCI’s Stangers series ammo (which is the same thing as Stinger) has Dave Nash on the label, who you may better know as 22plinkster of YouTube fame. This right here is the 22 LR ammo you need to pull off your own impressive trick shots and maybe whack a few squirrels while you’re at it!This cartridge is loaded with a real flat-shooting copper-plated hollow point, which will minimize lead fouling of the barrel before proceeding to excavate a devastating wound channel into whichever small game it lands inside. The CPHP may be a pipsqueak at just 32 grains, although its hot and heavy 1,640 fps muzzle velocity means it generates plenty of chamber pressure to cycle a semi-automatic.
This ammo’s nickel-plated brass cases are a nice bonus. They’re more resistant to corrosion, they reduce friction to promote smoother cycling, and they’re even a little easier to see in the chamber if you like whacking squirrels at dusk.
