100rds – 22 LR Browning PRO22 40gr. LRN Ammo

100rds – 22 LR Browning PRO22 40gr. LRN Ammo Details

A high-velocity 22 LR cartridge will give you a flat trajectory, and it will hit its target with greater energy as well. But there’s an inherent flaw to a supersonic bullet: the instant it transitions to subsonic, it parts with significant stability and becomes less accurate as the result.

Browning PRO22 22 LR ammo cuts transonic destabilization out of the equation. This round is loaded with a 40 grain lead round nose that achieves a 1,085 fps muzzle velocity out of a rifle barrel. That’s 40 fps slower than the speed of sound, so even though this ammo’s trajectory will fall more steeply it will also prove more consistent shot after shot.

Browning’s American-made subsonic 22 LR is also going to treat you to a softer report – no breaking the sound barrier means no sonic boom. This target and competition ammo also features crimped cases. These aren’t normally found on 22 LR cartridges, and they provide greater accuracy by promoting steadier bullet alignment with the barrel.
