Do you know why chimpanzees, orangutans, and other great ape species are all notoriously bad at trap and sporting clays? It is because we refuse to send them Winchester AA 12 Gauge ammunition, for multiple very sensible reasons!

Winchester would never make a monkey out of their loyal customers. That’s why they load this shell with quality components all around, including two which greatly help to standardize patterning: 1-1/8 ounces of lead-antimony #8 shot, which is extra hard and therefore capable of surviving ignition without significantly flattening out or otherwise deforming, and an AA wad which compresses so as to minimize the shot column’s exposure to recoil energy.

This is a light target load. Between its premium wad and relatively tepid 1,145 fps muzzle velocity, its recoil is fairly mild. You won’t feel like you’re firing a 410 Bore, but you won’t feel like you’re firing higher-velocity 12 Gauge hunting ammo, either!

This ammo is reloadable, and its rugged hulls and solid brass heads suit it especially well for that purpose.
