But it is also designed to keep you safer as you train.This cartridge features a 155 grain Reduced Hazard Training projectile. It is frangible, composed of 100 percent sintered copper powder that remains intact up until the moment of impact. When the RHT hits a hard surface such as a steel target or rock, it presents almost zero chance of ricocheting little fragments of solid copper and lead back at the shooter. The same can not be said of conventional FMJ bullets.
The pure copper RHT bullet can not respond to the intense heat of ignition by releasing vaporized lead right next to the shooter’s face. Furthermore, this round’s Clean-Fire primer is totally devoid of lead, barium, or antimony, all elements that can cause respiratory health issues. If you train in an indoor range where ventilation is inadequate, this ammo will promote a much cleaner environment for you to breathe in.
Speer’s new production brass promotes efficient feeding and extraction in a semi-automatic firearm, and their propellant burns clean to keep it in better working condition.
