Here’s a big old mountain of ammunition to help keep you adroit. Federal Premium’s Champion Training series ammunition’s purpose is right there in its name (but it’s also fun for plinkin’).

Federal didn’t reinvent the W. when they loaded this ammo. The 95 grain full metal jacket projectile, propelled to a 980 fps muzzle velocity, is downright typical of a target load such as this. Champion ammo falls on the less pricey side of the grand scheme of things because its FMJ projectiles have plated jackets. Such jackets are comparably fragile, and may not glide across barrel or recoil compensator ports fully intact. If one of those ports deflects a piece of copper back at you, then you’ll be an unhappy camper.

And that’d be a real shame, because this really is nice ammo. And you can keep it play after you’ve fired it, if you like, because Federal’s sparkling fresh brass is handloadable!
