This 1,000 round bulk case of .38 Special ammo is a great way to stock up on practice loads that can also be used for personal defense or small varmints in areas where hunting with rifle calibers is prohibited. Magtech builds these cartridges using reloadable brass casings fitted with non-corrosive Boxer primers and topped off with semi-jacketed soft-point (SJSP) bullets which weigh in at 158 grains each. The SJSP projectile has an exposed lead portion at its front with a flat tip that cuts clean holes in paper and cardboard for trouble-free target scoring and group measurement.

The rest of the SJSP bullet is curved for easy insertion into a cylinder or tubular magazine. When used in conjunction with a lever-action rifle or long-barreled revolver, these rounds can be dependably take small game thanks to the exposed lead portion which will begin expanding on impact. The bullet's strong copper jacket and accuracy-saving cannelure work to slow this expansion and ensure deep penetration into a coyote or fox for a more effective, humane drop.
