Leaper’s 30-round 5.56/223 magazine is one tough nut. It’s made of polymer with glass fiber reinforcement, so it is extremely resistant to impact and cracking despite weighing less than 5 ounces. It’s also reliable courtesy of its anti-tilt follower, as well as its compression-resistant stainless steel spring and over-insertion stop. And if you (smartly) ever decide to clean the thing’s interior, its removable floorplate won’t slow you down.
But the very best thing of all? It’s got to be those windows: one on each side, complete with a round count indicator so you can tell exactly what you’re firing and how much. You might point out that a person with an immeasurably high IQ would be able to keep count of how many rounds they have loaded in their mag without looking, but you would be mistaken!
