These earmuffs include two AAA batteries, but they don’t need them in order to provide a noise reduction rating of 22. When the earmuffs are powered on they utilize their integral microphone to detect and amplify ambient sounds up to 4X. You’ll still be able to hear what’s going on at the range or in the woods, and a volume control knob gives you even further control over your senses! But as soon as the earmuffs pick up a sound that exceeds 82 decibels, they automatically shut off to preserve your hearing.

Howard Leight’s patented Air Flow Control technology has made these earmuffs remarkably low-profile, so you’ll have an easier time bringing your long gun up to aim. These earmuffs are even more comfortable thanks to their adjustable headband and padded cups, and they include an AUX input and 3.5mm connection cord for compatibility with MP3 players and other devices. The batteries last about 350 hours, but the earmuffs automatically shut off after four hours so you don’t have to waste money on Rayovacs.
