Corbon has created exactly the kind of 38 Special +P cartridge that you need to convert a threat into a threat no longer.This round’s 110 grain bullet is loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,050 fps. That velocity was recorded out of a snubnose revolver’s 1.875” barrel, same as a S&W 642 or Ruger LCR. With that kind of performance such a bullet screams out of the muzzle with 269 ft lbs of energy, making its impact commanding at close range. But if you load this round in a revolver with a longer barrel, its effect will become even more devastating still!
The bullet itself is Corbon’s own jacketed hollow point. With its deep and wide nose cavity the lead core is able to reliably transfer great energy immediately following penetration, and its jacket sports fine serrations that promote more uniform expansion while simultaneously optimizing weight retention for a deeper, more harmful wound channel. The jacket further includes a crimping cannelure to help keep the bullet seated at the correct depth until ignition.
This round features a straight and strong brass case, as well as a reliable primer and evenly loaded charge of clean burning propellant. It all comes together to provide a true testament to how well we load ammo right here in America.
