Federal’s Top Gun line of ammunition deserves its place as one of the target shooting community’s go-to solutions for enjoying their favorite pastime. This is a 12 Gauge shotshell that’s priced to free up your budget for other much needed supplies -- such as other types of ammunition -- but it doesn’t spare its shooters the quality that the Federal name stands for and which rewarding skeet, trap, and sporting clays depend upon.

This shell is loaded with 1 1/8 ounces of #8 lead shot. 0.09” diameter pellets can be of plenty use for grounding smaller birds, and we’ve experienced firsthand their efficacy against snakes, but we find #8 lead shot most handy at the trap range where it can disintegrate even the fastest of clays. This shell utilizes hard shot and a even patterning wad to deliver a reliably accurate spread, and its fast burning propellant does an admirable job of enduring a consistent 1,145 fps muzzle velocity.
