Winchester’s USA ammunition is many things. American-made. Consistent. Economically designed yet reliable. But more than anything else, this 5.56x45 ammunition is a surefire way to put a big smile on any AR-15 fan’s face!

Fifty-five grain full metal jacket bullet, loaded to a muzzle velocity of 3,180 fps. Those specs are what make this ammo virtually indistinguishable from the M193 loads you’d find at any military firing range. Winchester’s FMJ is completely nonmagnetic – take it to any commercial range without doubt – and its jacket’s cannelure prevents setback resulting from recoil in the magazine.

We’d recommend soft point or polymer-tipped bullets over FMJs when it comes to self-defense. That said, any 5.56x45 round will womp a close-range threat with more than enough energy to quickly neutralize it – and this particular bullet’s tendency to fragment inside of soft tissue only makes its terminal ballistics more debilitating.
