Barnes Bullets 70 Grain TSX Ammo Details

These heavyweight 5.56mm rounds are an excellent way to get the famous performance of Barnes bullets in a full-up format that requires zero reloading or load work up. As VOR-TX rifle rounds, these cartridges are optimized for hunting use and are loaded with the venerable TSX projectile. The TSX is an all-copper bullet with a hollow tip at its nose, multiple grooves on its body, and a boat tail shape at its rear. The boat tail resists drag in flight while the grooves balance the application of gas pressure; both efforts greatly enhance accuracy for those vital shots in the field.

Upon impact with a game deer or wild boar, the bullet will experience instant expansion into four petals which more than doubles the original diameter. This helps create a free-bleeding wound cavity and tumbling which will bring down medium-sized game with humane efficiency.
