20rds – 6.5 PRC Barnes VOR-TX LR 127gr. LRX BT Ammo Details

Are you keen on the idea of knocking down some hoofed mammals with your 6.5 PRC rifle? Bring the right tool to the job! Barnes’ VOR-TX LR line of ammunition is engineered for the hunter who keeps his distance from his quarry, and its LRX BT bullet is entirely lead-free.

This round’s 127 grain projectile is a tack driver, no two ways about it. It features a flowing polymer tip, grooves that reduce the amount of contact its long shank makes with the rifling, and a boat tail that cuts down on drag. The solid copper LRX BT hasn’t got a jacket or core that could contain inconsistencies. It’s just a solid piece of copper, and it accordingly exhibits virtually perfect rotational stability.

The LRX BT really gets cooking once it has arrived at point B. On impact its polymer tip and nose cavity work together to supply deleterious terminal expansion: four long and sharp petals which stamp a broad wound channel into the quarry. The LRX BT also resists terminal fragmentation that could rob it of penetration depth.

Barnes optimizes this ammunition for hunting in damp places by plating its new brass cases with corrosion resistant nickel – a metal which also promotes smoother feeding, chambering and extraction in all rifles. This noncorrosive and reloadable ammo hails from the great state of Utah!
