This 5.56x45 ammunition, which is a fine choice for any AR-15 chambered to fire it, represents a great team up. You have Hornady, the Nebraskan authority on fine bullets. And you also have Lake City, the US government’s key ammo manufacturer.

This round’s bullet weighs 62 grains. At that weight it offers more or less the same ballistics as the Army’s M855 round. It hasn’t got any steel beneath its gilding metal jacket, however, so it’s ready to roll at many indoor ranges. Hornady’s FMJ offers the target grade accuracy you want to get satisfying results at the range – a concentric jacket, balanced lead core, and nothing more.

Lake City takes Hornady’s little FMJ and gives it a nice place to stay. This round’s new production brass case, non-corrosive Boxer primer and clean burning propellant are all military grade, and loaded to the same tolerances which Uncle Sam demands on his shooting ranges.
