Remington Ammunition 110 Grain Semi-Jacketed Hollow-Point (SJHP) Ammo Details

Do you want good self-defense ammo for your 38 Special revolver – or good, low-recoil self-defense ammo for your 357 Magnum revolver? Then Remington High Terminal Performance (HTP) 38 Special ammo delivers just what you’re after!

This cartridge is loaded with a welterweight 110 grain bullet, so it’s able to attain a nearly four-digit muzzle velocity out of a full-length revolver’s barrel. Its muzzle energy of 220 ft lbs isn’t the most powerful a handgun is capable of, but it’s more than enough to neutralize the threat with good shot placement.

The semi-jacket hollow point bullet’s nose cavity isn’t constricted by copper. The softer bullet thus has an easier time triggering expansion, even if it hits the threat at a relatively low velocity. The SJHP’s flat nose profile is exactly what you want for a tubular magazine, which makes this ammo a fine choice for lever guns as well!

Remington’s Kleanbore primers provide reliable ignition, but never corrode a barrel with hygroscopic salts. This clean-shooting ammo is loaded with straight and strong factory fresh brass cases, an extra bonus for handloaders.
