Hornady Ammunition 185 Grain GMX Ammo Details

20 Rounds of 338 Win Mag Hornady Superformance 185 Grain GMX Ammo

Hornady was founded in 1949 as a simple two-man operation. Since then, the company has become a world-leader in the ammunition industry. Like all Hornady loads, Hornady’s Superformance is manufactured with only the highest quality components.

This package contains 20 rounds of Hornady Superformance .338 Winchester Magnum ammunition. Each round is loaded with a 185 GMX projectile. These hard-hitting bullets deliver deep penetration with a non-traditional, monolithic construction. Using a copper/zinc alloy, GMX projectiles retain 95 percent of their original weight and expand up to 1 ½ times their original diameter.

GMX bullets also feature a hard polymer tip designed to drive into the hollow cavity at the front of the projectile, initiating expansion, without clogging, to generate a devastating mushrooming effect.

Each of these factory fresh rounds is non-corrosive, boxer primed, and features high quality, reloadable brass cases. Hornady Superformance rounds are loaded with progressive dynamic propellant powders designed to increase performance without increasing recoil, chamber pressure, or barrel fouling.

These rounds produce a consistent muzzle velocity of 3896 feet per second and a muzzle energy of 3080. This ammunition is well-suited for big game hunting and is effective on even the largest game animals, including elk, moose, and bear.
