These .300 Ruger Compact Magnum loads from Hornady's Custom lineup are perfect for big feral hogs and even large elk! Each cartridge is crowned with a GMX (Gilding Metal eXpanding) projectile which is lead-free and has an all-copper body with a hollow cavity at the nose. The hollow point is covered by a tapered polymer windshield which resists drag in flight for superb accuracy. Upon impact with a game target, the bullet will experience massive expansion which prevents over penetration and promotes proper energy transfer to vital organs.Due to their leadless design, GMX bullets are known for high weight retention and will easily defeat thick hide, gristle, and bone. At 150 grains, this bullet sits at the low end for the .300 RCM caliber for relatively light recoil alongside high velocity with a flat trajectory. Other components include reloadable brass casings, non-corrosive Boxer primers, and clean-burning powder that has been tuned to the caliber.
