Hornady Ammunition 62 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details

If a dog food company only made food for one breed of dog, they’d go out of business fast. Sure, we’d buy “Doktor Wagner’s German Shepherd Chow” for our dog, but what about the other 99 percent of dog owners who have not yet embraced the superior breed of dog?

Hornady’s BLACK label follows this logic. It is designed to fire flawlessly out of any black gun, no matter its barrel length, accessories, or system of operation. This case of 5.56x45 is a great choice whether you’re not sure what you need or have five very different firearms that all need ammo.

This cartridge features a 62 grain full metal jacket projectile. It’s a range bullet that doesn’t do anything fancy when it hits soft tissue, but its heavier weight gives its accuracy a small boost over great distances. This round’s bullet will also closely mimic the ballistic performance of a steel tipped penetrator.

You not only get 200 cartridges in this case, but also 200 high quality brass casings for reloading. You just have to fire the cartridges to get them. Hornady’s propellant burns clean and to consistent effect, and their Boxer primers are non-corrosive.
