Speer Gold Dot. PMC Bronze. It’s not uncommon for ammunition manufacturers to produce a line of ammunition named after a precious metal that it doesn’t actually contain. In that tradition, Winchester offers their Silvertip series ammunition: 100% silver-free, but perfectly effective for self-defense!

This cartridge’s 110 grain jacketed hollow point wears a thin plating of silvery nickel. It serves no real purpose beyond looking pretty. But Winchester doesn’t rely on gimmicks in order to earn your business! Between its hollow point nose cavity, symmetrically notched rim, and carefully engineered jacket profile, the Silvertip bullet does reliably exhibit the uniform terminal expansion that halts a determined attacker’s advance with proper shot placement.

This cartridge’s sensitive Boxer primer, temperature stable charge of propellant and lightweight bullet all contribute to its fast 945 fps muzzle velocity. The cartridge isn’t overpressure. It is brand new, nonmagnetic, noncorrosive and Boxer-primed, however, complete with virgin brass cases that are at once reliable and reloadable.
