These lightweight .22 caliber bullets from Sierra's "Varminter" line are perfect for taking down coyotes, foxes, and groundhogs with clean precision and excellent terminal performance. Each of these component bullets features a gilding metal jacket which covers its flat base but leaves the very tip of its rounded nose exposed. The bare lead tip feeds smoothly, resists drag in-flight, and is bordered by a thinner section of copper jacket for reliable expansion upon impact. This mushrooming design is achieves quick, humane kills with calibers like .22 Hornet and .218 Bee.
The 45 grain weight makes these bullets most compatible with a 1:16 twist rate but will also stabilize from older AR platforms with 1:14 barrels. When loaded to .223 Remington pressures, these soft point rounds can be expected to produce violent fragmentation which is useful for hunting thin-skinned animals. Sierra has been in business since 1947 and is responsible for unique designs that entertain safari hunters as well as high-level military requirements. Their bullets undergo constant inspection and refinement to maintain consistent quality in every lot.
