Fiocchi Ammunition 148 Grain Jacketed Hollow-Point (JHP) Ammo Details

These unique .357 Magnum rounds from Fiocchi are a prime choice for self-defense or light varmint hunting and are controllable, accurate, and highly effective. Each of these cartridges is assembled from a reloadable brass casing that has a non-corrosive Boxer primer at its base and 148 grain jacket hollow-point (JHP) projectile in its crimp. While 148 grains is common to the caliber, it is primarily made available to handloaders as a component bullet in solid and wadcutter formats. The weight is loved by experienced wheel-gunners because it carries the potential for flat travel and high energy without a heavy bite of recoil.

Fiocchi's JHP design possesses an exposed lead tip with a narrow-mouth, deep reaching hollow cavity. The bullet's jacketed portion is indented with a grooved cannelure at its crimp point in order to preserve accuracy as well as slow the rate of expansion. An overall curved ogive and flat head makes these .357 rounds easy to load into a cylinder or side gate and safe to keep in the tubular magazine of a lever-action rifle. During entry into a target, this round will begin to blossom from the front and increase its diameter. This will cause a slight tumbling effect as the bullet penetrates deeply, slows down, and delivers threat-dropping energy to vital areas. Fiocchi is an Italian company with a manufacturing plant located here in the United States. 140 years of experience combined with an open ear to professional shooters allows them to offer distinctive ammo of marked performance.
