These 12 gauge shells from Rio are some of the most affordable buckshot that you'll be able to find. Rio Royal is a Spain-based company with over 100 years of experience supplying high performance loads to sporting clubs, competitive skeet shooters, and law enforcement around the globe. With a 2-3/4 length, these shells are made to function in the widest range of shotguns available and are fueled using premium CSB smokeless powder for high velocity and more effective patterning at long range. Rio manufacturers their own 209 primers for sure ignition in all conditions.Each of the five shotshells contains 9 pellets of 00 size buckshot which measure 8.38mm in diameter and are appropriate for hunting use as well as self-defense. Rio's stamping process and inspection methods ensure that the lead shot is uniform for true flight and repeatable ballistics. Please note that these particular shotshells use a plastic Overshot Card with a roll crimp as opposed to a star crimp; this helps to reduce cost while perfecting fit but may prevent the hulls from being safely reloaded.
