The 7.62x25mm Tokarev – not exactly the first cartridge that comes to mind when you hear the words “.30 caliber,” but still a dandy fine pistol round for all manners of plinkery and target-poppery. If you’ve got a handgun that was probably manufactured by multiple men named Dmitri, Grigory and Vlad, then here’s your chance to order a gargantuan 1,500-round case of ammo by Sellier & Bellot!Sellier & Bellot is not Russian. They are Czech, and they don’t prescribe to the Russian philosophy of magnetic bullets. This round’s 85 grain full metal jacket has a lead core and a 70% copper/30% zinc jacket. Put that bullet next to a magnet and look on in awe as nothing at all happens!
Sellier & Bellot recorded this round’s spicy 1,857 fps muzzle velocity with a 11.25” barrel. That is extremely long for the 7.62 TOK, so you can reasonably anticipate a lower and saner MV while you’re firing your Soviet heater.
Sellier & Bellot also doesn’t load steel cases. These reloadable rounds feature pure brass goodness complete with noncorrosive Boxer primers. One case is divided across 30 individual boxes, so you’ll be able to fire 50 rounds every day of the month (unless it’s January, March, May, July, August, October or December).
