50rds – 38 Special +P Blazer 158gr. FMJ Ammo

50rds – 38 Special +P Blazer 158gr. FMJ Ammo Details

This 38 Special +P cartridge by Blazer features an aluminum casing. The heat treated aircraft grade casing’s chief drawback is that, in spite of its great toughness, it’s no good for reloading. On another minor note, some indoor ranges turn their noses up at aluminum as well. That said, aluminum is substantially less expensive to produce than brass, a difference you’ll see soundly reflected in this ammo’s price tag. On top of that, it’s a lot less dense too -- that makes a swell difference when you’re handling a lot of it.

This round’s casing is fitted with CCI’s sensitive and non-corrosive primer, so it functions just as well as any premium brass casing you could point your finger at. Note that this is +P ammo, however, so you might not be pointing at anything if you fire it out of a pistol that’s not meant for it.

This round sports a 148 grain projectile, the heavier bullet that Blazer offers in its caliber. The bullet’s full metal jacket makes it a great choice for training and casual target practice, as it’ll feed smoothly in a semi-automatic and stave off bore fouling to boot.

Good ammo. 158 gr and very comfortable out of a 2 1/4" snubby.

This is great practice ammo as it is a perfect ballistic match to the various 158 +p jhps and semi-wadcutter rounds known as the "FBI Load" offered by Winchester, Remington, Federal and others.
