PMC Ammunition 240 Grain Truncated Cone Soft Point Ammo Details

These .44 Magnum loads are a splendid choice for taking medium game with a lever action rifle as well as for personal defense with your favorite double action wheel gun! This cartridge's profile consists of a reloadable brass casing fitted with a non-corrosive Boxer primer and topped with a unique Truncated Cone Soft Point (TCSP) projectile. The TCSP bullet design resembles a hollow-point but with a very shallow cavity, solid lead core, and raised and rounded jacket tip. This shape promotes smooth feeding into both lever-gun magazines and revolver cylinders.

This TCSP bullet design also includes a toothed cannelure at its crimped diameter. This not increases reliability and accuracy, but prevents jacket separation for maximum momentum. Upon impact, the 240 grain projectile will expanded in a controlled fashion with an emphasis on deep penetration intended to defeat thick hides and reach vital organs for a quick and humane drop. PMC ammunition is manufactured by South Korea using techniques which served their countries supply lines as well as that of their NATO allies for decades. The recognizable bronze and black boxes communicate high quality and affordable prices to shooters who have been around the block.

In my 16 carbine. The nose of hollow points fragment on impact. This bullet stays together, expands and doesn’t leave soft lead on my internal parts.

1 round if this PMC 44mag tcsp 240g out of my s/w 629 took a 565# black bear right off his feet. Shot was placed 6" behind his left front shoulder, knocked him down and nothing but the death groan followed.

PMG 240gr TCSP is the best Ammo I’ve ever used in my Ruger semi auto rifle. The rifle was made in 1969 and shoot this ammo flawlessly.

I really like the profile and the ballistics of the PMC ammo. It cycles with no problems in my Winchester 1892 and my Marlin 1894. I does hang up in my Henry, but so does the Fiocchi ammo I have. Both the PMC and the Fiocchi are hot loads. The Magtech 240's I have cycles just fine in my Henry, but that is a cheap round with poor ballistics. Apparently the Henry has very tight clearances, to tight for hot loads.

This stuff is awesome in my Ruger super Blackhawk!
Also shoots well and feeds great in my marlin lever gun.

I tried this ammo with the shortages with Remington, Federal and Hornaday. This ammo constantly jammed by Lever Action Rifle. My rifle is cleaned very well and after the jams I reinserted Remington and Federal with absolutely no jams. I found that it shoots well once it gets into the chamber. If you don't mind cocking the handle open and manually inserting each round then it works OK. I noticed on some old web threads that others had the same issue with PMC on their lever action rifles as well.

This ammo is some of my favorite .44Mag ammo because it burns clean, is loaded to .44mag specs, is very accurate, and that truncated cone soft point... it makes for one of the very best do it all loads for the caliber. Whether hunting, using this load for protection in the woods, or for self defense; this round stacks up really well.

This is some dam good ammo, what the big deal for me with ammo by anybody is that it go bang when the trigger is pulled with no misfires. This ammo does just that.
