Remember: You are not cool until you have gone target shooting with a 410 Bore shotgun. Anyone can bean clays all day long with the big pile of shot a 12 or 20 Gauge affords, but to effortlessly direct the 410’s half ounce of shot toward a moving target takes true skill.Rio loads this little shell with #7.5 shot. That shot size is one of the most commonly used at the range, especially for handicap trap, because its size reliably pulverizes pottery and its range is rather generous. While this shell’s pattern can’t be too tight with only 175 shot pellets to its name, it does take advantage of spherical, deformation resistant lead and a high quality wad to make up for the 410’s inherent shortcomings.
Together Rio’s fast to ignite propellant and sensitive primer deliver a reliable 1,200 fps muzzle velocity. (They’re owned by one of the world’s preeminent explosives manufacturers, so their powder and primer game is always on point.)
