Immediately cooling lead pellets after they have formed makes them harder, which helps to prevent the deformation that weakens pattern density. Fiocchi loaded this round with 1-1/8 ounces of shot – about 461 0.09” diameter pellets total. Its average 1,250 fps muzzle velocity and cushioned wad won’t pound you with an uncomfortable amount of recoil.
