These rounds are assembled using strong plastic hulls and high brass heads that are rolled and formed in Federal's own factory. Each shell bears a clean-igniting 209 primer and a hull length of 2-3/4 inches for universal chamber-size compatibility. The rim of each hull is slightly raised from its crimp to aide in smooth reloading in the field or on club grounds.
Inside each shell is one ounce of #7 size shot pellets which are appropriate for penetrating into doves and grouse as well as for breaking clay pigeons at various ranges. The shot pellets are made of non-toxic steel and are legal to shoot at lead-free skeet clubs and on federally owned property that forbids the use of traditional lead shot.
