BioAmmo’s 12 Gauge ammo is fit for any hunter who has turkey or pheasant on their agenda. But this shell offers something extra special to the environmental stewards among us: the opportunity to go plastic-free!You see, the Spanish manufacturer does not load plastic components. Instead they developed their own substance called “biopolymer” – a patented, vegetable-based material which is fully bio-compostable. Let this shell’s hull and wad rest on top of the ground or fall into the water. Either way, they’ll get eaten up by microbes and turned into biopolymer’s nontoxic components in just a couple of years.
This isn’t gimmick ammo. It’s also engineered to deliver excellent patterning, recoil and accuracy for hunting. BioAmmo’s #5 lead shot is hard and highly spherical, and their wad spreads out petals to let the shot fly in a dense pattern. Their hinged wad and powder’s combustion rate both mitigate how much kick you have to deal with while you’re taking your bird as well!
