Shotshell

The 22 WMR shooter has quite a stable of factory loaded ammunition from which to choose. He or she even has a fantastic pest-control round in shotshell ammunition. This type of ammunition is like a shotgun in a rifle. The 22 WMR shotshell offerings usually load the shell casing above the powder with very small lead shot, usually No. 12 (0.05" in diameter). Some call this type of loading "ratshot." It is wonderful for dispatching pests around the farm, ranch and home. It enables the shooter to control vermin without putting holes in roofs and walls! It gives respectable patterns with revolvers to rifles. Some use it when they begin the training of their bird dogs. And, it can be used to train young shotgun shooters as well.
