20rds – 6.5x55 Sellier & Bellot 140gr SJSP Ammo Details
The 6.5x55 Swedish already boasts a characteristically high ballistic coefficient. The caliber was very popular for biathlon before the 22 LR took its place, and the Scandinavians owe much of their dominance in the sport to competing with such accurate rifles. This 6.5x55 Swedish cartridge is an affordable way to complement your Mauser’s accuracy even more, as its bullet’s streamlined profile and precision jacket will keep it spinning just how you’d like it to until it finds its target.Scandinavians didn’t just get good at shooting by playing games -- they also wanted to ensure their winter supply of reindeer jerky. This round will let you get your jerky situation under control as well, because its soft point projectile mushrooms rapidly during penetration to drop most anything on hooves you could imagine. The bullet’s copper alloy jacket is furthermore hard enough to ensure proper penetration. Sellier & Bellot also gave this cartridge the sturdy brass casing and non-corrosive primer you need to get the best out of your hunt.

I bought a mil-surp Carl Gustav Mauser 1905 a few years ago for my daughter. She didnt like it so I ended up with it.. it is the 29" barrel and I had thoughts of sporterising it with a nice stock, scope and 25" barrel. So far I havent butchered it. She shoots so nice as it is and the unaltered Swedes are becoming more rare every year. Been offered $ for it by a gunsmith who wants to build a sporter on the '96 action but it seems a shame, such a nice rifle! These rifles have proven their usefulness in Europe and USA for many years for all sorts of game including moose, elk and polar bear... THIS ammo is what I use in it, I like the heavier bullet tho some may like a lighter weight, these 140 grainers do the job on every thing. Recoil is minimal and very low muzzleblast... One could do worse with the Swede rifle and this ammunition!

Shoots great and accurate. Priced right. Although i punch paper at the range no problem out to 300 yards.
