20rds – 6.5 Creedmoor Hornady Superformance 120gr. GMX Ammo

Hornady Ammunition 120 Grain GMX Ammo Details

This 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge features Hornady’s own GMX projectile. The 120 grain bullet is made of a copper alloy that is even stronger than the metal if it were pure, and accordingly can retain up to 100 percent of its weight as it blasts through your quarry’s rib cage. Try this round out and you’ll see that a monolithic bullet offers more than simply compliance with laws that ban lead -- it shoots clean, fouls less, and consistently mushrooms up to one and a half times its original diameter courtesy of the polymer tip that caps its nose cavity.

The GMX is highly accurate thanks to its pressure relieving cannelures, sleek profile, and ballistically efficient boat tail design. Because this is a Superformance round and thus able to boost your rifle’s muzzle velocity by up to 200 fps but without negatively affecting performance, its accuracy is even better improved far downrange. Hornady gave this round the quality brass casing and non-corrosive primer that you should expect from a top shelf round. See what all the fuss about copper is, and you might never go back!=

We try the Creedmoor Superfomance 120 gr.GMX in our hunt in Texas at the end of November 2014. Shoot a Buck at 200yrds and drop dead in is tracks. The same with doe at 300 yrds plus with the same result. Similar results with another fellow hunter that has a Creedmoor. I recommended highly. Surpass the 243 and the results similar to a 270.
