Hornady Ammunition 500 Grain Flat-Point Solids Ammo Details

Hunting aggressive animals requires an aggressive bullet. Hornady Superformance DGS (Dangerous Game Solid) is exactly what you need for large game and safari hunting. Each of these .458 Winchester Magnum cartridges is loaded with a 500 grain DGS solid flat point projectile. Featuring a wide flat-nose profile, these loads deliver maximum terminal energy transfer and are designed to resist deformation and deflection. Constructed of tough materials, these proprietary projectiles incorporate a hard, high-antimony lead core surrounded by a jacket made of copper-clad steel. This design maintains bullet integrity, maximizes weight retention, and drives through thick hide, dense muscle, and hard bone for deep penetration.

This ammunition is factory fresh, non-corrosive, boxer primed, and brass cased. Each round produces a consistent muzzle velocity of 2140 feet per second with a heavy-hitting 5084 foot pounds of muzzle energy. Each package contains 20 rounds.
