20rds – 338 Win Mag Federal Vital-Shok 210gr. Nosler Partition Ammo

20rds – 338 Win Mag Federal Vital-Shok 210gr. Nosler Partition Ammo Details

This 338 Win Mag cartridge is from Federal’s Vital-Shok line of ammunition, and it’s excitingly topped off with Nosler’s 210 grain Partition projectile. The Partition’s jacket splits its core into two discrete parts: The front is exposed at the tip, which along with the jacket’s thin mouth permits it to mushroom rapidly during penetration at virtually any velocity; The rear works not only to retain the weight needed for deep penetration, but further provides the substantial base needed for wide expansion to take place. As little as two thirds of the Partition’s weight is guaranteed retained as the result of its unique design, making it a truly effective approach to elk hunting. Furthermore, the special crimp locks in the Partition’s base enable it to resist the deformation which heavy magnum pressure would have subjected it to, granting it superior accuracy.

Federal’s world-class components and quality assurance protocol have ensured that so great a bullet is properly seated in a uniform and reloadable brass casing, and that it’s sped along by a clean burning propellant. Very nicely, a portion of the proceeds from this box of ammo will go toward the conservation efforts of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

Shoots like I expect it to, 5 shots within 2" at 100. Most of that is me, the rifle is a LOT more accurate. It is a little expensive (only one above and one more equal) but it is also the only brand running 210 gr Nosler Partitions which at what dad used to put in the handloads. I could go to a larger bullet but since I would still want the Partitions that would mean stepping to a 250 gr bullet and only saving $5 per box. I know what the Partitions do and know what results to expect. I have tried other bullets in the past and not been happy with the results. Have to pay for quality.
